Dr. Keith M. Ballin joined Vantage Eye Center in March of 2021. He received his training at the School of Optometry in Johannesburg, South Africa and graduated in 1974. He opened his own practice in Durban, South Africa where he remained until moving to the United States in 1998 to work as an associate in a private office in Monterey, California. Prior to moving to the USA Dr. Ballin received his certification in Advanced Study of Ocular Disease through the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts.
After working in Monterey at Spex 454 for two years, he was recruited as the Managing Doctor for Eye Exam of California, Monterey where he remained for five years before opening his office as an independent Optometrist at Costco in Sand City. He ran a successful and busy practice there for 15 years.
Dr. Ballin has extensive experience in primary care optometry. His specialty is contact lens fittings, rigid contact lenses, toric contact lenses for astigmatism correction, and bifocal contact lenses.
Dr. Ballin says he looks forward to working in a facility with a distinguished group of professionals after working 6 days a week as a solo practitioner for his entire career.
His hobbies include camping, fishing, and spending precious and quality time with his family and friends.
